1. Remember that hearing loss from noise is preventable.
2. Consider in relation to noise, how loud, how long and how close it is.
3. Noise in the workplace contributes to hearing loss.
4. Loud noises and within walking distance, as the explosion of firecrackers or shooting, can damage hearing permanently in an instant.
5. Frequent exposure to motors, machines as chain saws, irreversibly impaired hearing.
6. If needed, use earplugs or other hearing protection.
7. Help your children understand how the auditory system, and explain that they may be damaged.
8. If you can hear the song another listen with headphones, that person is hurting your ears.
