The first level deals with taking care of healthy born babies after childbirth. The second level involves the task of providing the needs of the ill newborns or patients who have had a premature birth. The third level of neonatal nursing is the one that requires lots of skills and experience as the nurses have to work for the newborns with extra delicate conditions which cannot be treated in the previous two levels.

You can choose one of those three levels to work for as long as you have the qualifications needed. One of the essential criteria to become a neonatal nurse is a bachelor’s degree in nursing along with at least one year experience of working in the neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Students of nursing program can be a registered nurse after they pass the licensing test which is usually held after the graduation. Once you have enough experience working as a registered nurse, you can then advance your career by applying for NHS nurses jobs in neonatal field. It is a very good opportunity because the profession is noble and well paying at the same time.
